Josh Guler of Bank Forward came in to visit with some of the seniors at the beginning of their spending/saving unit of Independent Living class. He plans to come back and visit with them about credit and credit cards as well. Thank you, Josh!
STAR Testing Schedule for 2022
Using the song, Aiken Drum (the man in the moon), the Kinder kiddos are learning about the families of unpitched percussion instruments, their names and sounds. They first created him using their favorite foods. Next, they used their creative imaginations and their unpitched percussion instruments to create him. Mrs. Klocke thinks he's pretty cute...just like her Kinders! :)

We are excited to share that Valley City State University (VCSU) has received a $600,000 grant from North Dakota DPI. The grant is to help prepare more teachers to fill critical teaching needs across the state. This program offers scholarships to individuals aspiring to become a licensed teacher in North Dakota and is specifically designed for paraprofessionals and substitute teachers working in North Dakota Schools.
Scholarships of $3,200 for fall and spring semesters and $2,600 for summer semester will be awarded through this program. This amount can be applied towards tuition and fees for an entire semester for a full-time student. Scholarships available include:
•Scholarships for two semesters for currently enrolled, or electing to enroll full-time, in the VCSU Online Teacher Education Program. This includes majors in Elementary, Business, English, History, Mathematics, Spanish, Social Science, and Technology Education.
•Scholarships for three to four semesters for students seeking a teaching degree with a specialized endorsement area. Endorsements available include English Language Learners (ELL), Early Childhood or Kindergarten, and Special Education.

Yesterday, American Crystal Sugar came to present career and college options to our juniors and seniors. The kids had a great time learning about the sugar beet process & even got to see some samples!
