⭐️Kalleigh Engels is this year's 9 yr old girls State Knights of Columbus Free Throw Winner! The state event was held in Bismarck on March 25, 2023. She defeated 5 other 9 yr old girls from around the state of North Dakota by making 20 out of 25 free throws. Kalleigh won the local, district, regional, and now state title in her age group. Kalleigh is the daughter of Jackie & Jacob Engels. Way to go Kalleigh!

We are all tired, it has been a long winter and while the spring brings rejuvenation and excitement over graduation, summer break, relaxation and maybe a modest trip, it also means change. Change is tough for young people, even positive change. Worry about moving on to a new classroom, a new teacher, new opportunities, these are all stressors. Some of our students will struggle this summer with a lack of supervision and food insecurity. Many of our caregivers are working two jobs and still not making financial ends meet or struggling with issues of addiction or mental health. Dr. Louters had a chance to visit Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas this winter. The campus was empty, barren and cold. No school should experience these traumas yet today we are learning of another deadly school shooting at Covenant School in Nashville. Our hearts and prayers go out to students, staff and communities that struggle through these senseless school and community events. The greatest thing that we can do today is demonstrate a measure of kindness and understanding for our neighbor; in the midst of difficult decision making. Kindness and compassion.

🚀 ROCKET TRACK UPDATE! NDSU Indoor Championship 3/25/23 With 29 teams competing in the Shelley Ellig Sports Complex on the campus of NDSU, the New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets did not disappoint! Many athletes earned top eight with their efforts and more importantly a number of indoor PR’s (personal records) were recorded during the meet. ⭐️ This week the 9th grade Business Fundamentals class took on a huge project and rocked it! They had to brainstorm a business idea and then create an entire plan for it. This included a business operations spreadsheet, a logo, and a written business plan. This business plan included topics such as executive summary, market research, products/services, and management/personnel. They had to complete a summary of their financial plan and profit goals. If you’d like to see their projects, please stop by. Great job kids! 🙌🏼

From the SNR Baseball Program: Thank you so much to everyone who supported the hotdish supper last night! Thank you players and families for the hotdish and dessert donations. The team all chipped in to serve, clean, and help out in any way possible. Great job boys! Thank you to the New Rockford Eagles for the use of the facility, the donations, and always supporting local groups. We also appreciate Bank Foward and Rockford Cafe for their meal donations. Finally, thank you to the SNR Black Sox fans! Without your support, many things would not be possible. We look forward to seeing everyone on the baseball field!⚾️
