2026-2027 Fall Agriculture Education Class Offered!
NRS is excited to announce the addition of an Agriculture Education course beginning in the Fall of 2026! Ms. Vollmer has been hired to teach Middle School Science and Agriculture Education. She brings experience in both fields and is eager to begin building a strong agriculture program at NRS.
The first course to be offered, Introduction to Agriculture, will be for students in grades 9-12. This applied course is designed to introduce students to agriculture. It will be offered 7th period.
Course topics may include:
Agricultural mechanics and safety
Proper use of tools and equipment
Animal, soil, and plant science
Agricultural construction and machinery
Leadership development and supervised agricultural experiences
Because many upperclassmen have not previously had access to agriculture coursework, this introductory course is intentionally open to students in grades 9-12.
Please see Mrs. Hager by May 21, 2026 if you are interested in modifying your schedule for next year to include Introduction to Agriculture.
