Sign, Say and Play Classes!
Taught by our very own Pre-K teacher, Mrs. Demester!
These sessions are designed for parents and babies to attend together. Each week families learn useful signs through fun songs, books, and activities. In addition, parents learn simple ways to support their baby’s intellectual development—tips drawn from Drs. Acredolo and Goodwyn’s second parenting book, Baby Minds: Brain Building Games Your Baby Will Love.
This workshop is FREE and presented by the NDSU Extension Parent & Family Resource Center
Classes will be held at New Rockford/Sheyenne School in New Rockford, ND.
To register, please email Parent Educator, Jill Louters:

For the last week and a half, sophomores have been doing the oft-anticipated News Report media project in Mr. Eich's English class. The objective of the unit is to compile reliable sources and collaborate with others to create a news broadcast. Students were tasked with compiling news from reliable sources, writing a script, completing various news segments (weather, sports, local/national news, breaking news, live at the scene, and expert interviews), editing a video, collaborating with peers, and communicating effectively. Creativity was also a focal point, as students were to create a broadcast station name and acronym, their individual reporter names, three commercials, and unique opening/closing segments. Mr. Eich wants to give a big shout-out to any community members and staff/faculty members who featured in any of the news reports and/or who allowed students to use their space/services. Well done! 👍🏼
