This is just a small handful of the kids who showed up to support Bailey at her benefit last night! Kids pitched in by selling bracelets and 50/50 tickets, cleaning tables, taking out trash, helping serve food and anything else they were asked to do. We have such great students at NR-S!

Welcome to the newest members of the NR-S Chapter of the National Honor Society! Selection to the NHS should be considered one of the highest honors for a high school student. These students demonstrate four qualities considered for induction into the NHS: SCHOLARSHIP, SERVICE, LEADERSHIP, and CHARACTER. Today we honor these 12 sophomore students who have been recognized as the 16th group to be accepted into the New Rockford-Sheyenne chapter of the NHS:
Ava Bullinger, Hannah Chamberlain, Bradyn Collier, Addysen Fandrich, Bailey Jacobson, Jacob Louters, Abigail Nystrom, Kaiya O’Connor, Andrew Storstad, Tillie Swart, Kage Walford, Brody Weisenburger.
Extra thanks to Josh Guler for being our special guest speaker for today's ceremony!
CONGRATS EVERYONE!

Every year the North Dakota American Choral Directors Association hosts the Surround the State in Song Choral Festival. The festival happens simultaneously in six North Dakota locations: Bismarck, Jamestown, Minot, Dickinson, Fargo, and Grand Forks. The festival provides an enrichment opportunity for young singers to perform in an honor choir along with other select singers from the area, and to learn from a guest conductor.
This year we had eight elementary students participate in the festival located in Jamestown; Theodore Hall, Evan Hultgren, Rosalee Irmen, Joshua Lukach, Liza Steele, and Neecie Swart. Last year’s participant was Angelina Hall.

On October 28th, five students that represent The Triple Threat Esports team, which is a coop between NR-S, Hazen, and Garrison, joined Mr. Eich at the NAECAD Esport Clinic at NDSU.
Alongside breakout sessions, students got to meet college Esport representatives to learn what goes into playing Esports at the next level and had the opportunity to complete a recruitment form that is provided to collegiate Esport coaches through the nation. Cool stuff! 😎

🎃Trick or Treat for Charity!🎃
Mr. Eich's classes and Sources of Strength teamed up again on Halloween to collect non-perishables for the local food pantry. This year, a total of 610 goods were collected and donated. Thank you to all who donated and supported the project!

HELP WANTED!

FREE DESKS!
Text or call Lucas at (406) 240-1328 if you would like one (or some)

Quarter 1 grades are updated in Powerschool.

AFTER-SCHOOL PICKUP for TODAY!
1. The buses will be parked outside of the high school music classroom, facing south. The door alarm has been inactivated. All students riding the bus should go out that door. Staff will be out there to help them find their bus. (If you drive and your bus is here, we have moved it for you!) The white bus has also been directed to pick up its students here as well.
2. If students are being picked up, parents/caretakers will be asked to access the school on 5th St. N., the west side of the building, by driving through the courthouse alley and heading their vehicle south. Staff will be available to provide direction to parents and students. We do not want vehicles backing up.
Stayed tuned for tomorrow: Same plan if the street work on 1st Ave. is still not complete.
