Winterfest Week: Today is Pink Out Dress-Up Day!! We are off to a great start with the Healthy Heart Program Challenge! Remember to sign up and donate if you can. The challenge ends today!! Four participants from New Rockford participated in the Regional Knights of Columbus Free Throw contest held in Jamestown, ND, on February 26, 2023. All participants were from District #13 age group winners and in each age group they shot a total of 25 free throws. There were 2 local winners, Kalleigh Engels, age 9, and Isla Allmaras, age 11. Other participants were 11-year-old Jaxon Simon and 14-year-old Easton Simon. Congratulations to Kalleigh and Isla and good luck at the state contest, which will be held at St. Mary's High School in Bismarck on March 25th at 12:00 p.m. Congratulations to all of you and a job well done!! The schedule for Friday's Early out will be periods 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. 9-12 STUDENTS! Sign up for the After-Prom Party! Party will go from 12:00-3:00 ~ PRIZES ~ FOOD ~ CASH ~ GAMES ~ P&E Entertainment (Devils Lake) will be here to host a game of Family Feud and Trivia so get your 4 or 5 person teams together! AND Travel Escape Room (Fargo) will be here with their Escape room! Did we mention PRIZES? (Drawn at 3:00 am) (The sign-up is to help prepare the right amount of food!) Prom Sign-Up is on the board outside of the office. Sign-up is due by the end of the day March 10th. Out of town dates need to be approved as well. Forms are in the office. 🧫🦠7th grade is looking at diatoms today! Students created wet mount slides of diatomaceous earth and viewed the skeletons of a V.I.P. (Very important protist)! They also colored and assembled diatom models.

⭐️ During the week of January 23-29, 2023, Ms.Radke's elementary art class participated in "Crayola Creative Week." During this week, the students and teacher had to follow a curriculum designed by the Crayola company and post their artwork on different media platforms to enter a chance to win free art supplies and classroom supplies. We competed against 195,000 educators, 3.5 million students, all 50 states, and 69 countries. On the 2nd day we won!

⭐️ Special shout-out to Donavun McCorkle for doing such an awesome job at the Poetry Out Loud competition in Bismarck yesterday! Prior to competing, Donavun had to go above and beyond the classroom requirements by memorizing, mastering, and reciting three more poems and perform on stage. He placed within the top 15 at state, which is a great accomplishment for a student's first year doing POL competing against multiple returners. Awesome work Donavun!

🏀 Rocket boys basketball season came to an end tonight after a hard-fought overtime loss in Warwick. 63-72 🚀 We wish our seniors, Trevor & Haydon, the best of luck!

🏀 Congrats to Isla & Kalleigh! These 2 won their age brackets at the Knights of Columbus Free Throw competition where they earned a trip to the State Competition on March 25th in Bismarck!
