Mr. Baumbach has been the high school principal at New Rockford-Sheyenne School District since 2014. Graduating from Dickinson State University in 2011, he began his career at Halliday Public School as the junior high and high school social studies teacher as well as acting as the assistant principal. At this time, he also received his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Dakota. These years were very formative in his growth as an educator as it provided a solid foundation of quality leadership in both secondary curriculum and decision making.
Mr. Baumbach enjoys spending time with his wife Jen, a special education teacher, and their two children, Bailey and Beau. He loves dogs, fishing, golf and travel.
