Scholarship & Career Info

  • National Honor Society Seniors – Deadline: Dec. 1, 2020
    • High school seniors who are active National Honor Society (NHS) members in good standing of an affiliated NHS chapter are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
    • There are no limits to the number of applications per chapter.
  • Farm Credit Services of ND – Deadline: March 1, 2021
    • Recipients must be from an actively farming and/or ranching family, or be planning to pursue a career in farming or some other aspect of agriculture.
  • NDTC – Deadline: March 1, 2021
    • Be a graduating high school senior
    • Parent(s) or guardian(s) must have their full-time primary residence within NDTC exchanges and must be a current subscriber to NDTC telecommunications services
    • Must be accepted and registered for the 2021 fall term at an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school.
  • NEW!  Paul Hoghaug Scholarship – Deadline:  March 5, 2021
    • Application can be turned in to Mrs. Stevenson’s office.
  • NDTC FRS – Deadline: March 5, 2021
    • Be a graduating high school senior.
    • Be a United States citizen.
    • Be sponsored by a current NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association member.
    • Be accepted by an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school.
    • Have at least a C grade point average (GPA).
    • Express an interest to return to a rural community following graduation.
  • North Dakota Rural Water Systems Association Scholarship – Deadline: March 31, 2021
    • Any child or grandchild of a current city/rural water system employee or elected city/rural water system official (water system must be a current member of ND Rural Water Systems Association).
    • The applicant must be enrolled or planning to enroll in Bismarck State College’s Water and Wastewater Technology program. Student must have (a) successfully completed one complete semester of the program and earned a 2.5 grade point average (GPA) over the term; and (b) carry a minimum of 12 credit hours in the semester they are seeking a scholarship.
  • NDCEL
    • Multiple scholarships available – Deadline:  April 1, 2021 & June 1, 2021
  • Reuben T. Guenthner Scholarship – Deadline:  April 1, 2021
    • Be a graduating senior from a North Dakota high school in 2021.
    • Have completed one or more career and technical education courses between grades 9 and 12; (Career and Technical Education courses may be in any of the following programs: Agriculture Education; Business Education; Family and Consumer Sciences; Information Technology; Marketing Education; Technology and Engineering Education; or any of the programs in Trade, Industry, Technical and Health Education).
    • Enroll in a two-year North Dakota public, postsecondary institution.
    • Enroll as a full-time student in a career and technical education program of two years or less.
  • Dushinske & Jamison Water Resources Scholarship – Deadline:  April 1, 2021
    • $1,500 scholarship is awarded to four applicants.
    • Scholarship recipients must attend a North Dakota college or university.
    • Preference will be given to, but not limited to, students studying water-related fields and students whose families have taken active roles in state water resource management.
  • Alert Magazine
    • You must currently be a senior in high school.
    • Your high school must be located in one of the following states: Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington or Wyoming.
    • You must have a grade point average of 2.5 or better.
    • You must have plans to attend college after graduation (the college you will attend can be located in any state).
